Massachusetts Whitewater Rafting

Millers River Whitewater Rafting

Millers River Whitewater Rafting Trip Information

We raft the Millers River during special dam releases and natural spring flows from rain and snowmelt. While two U.S. Army Corps of Engineers flood control dams regulate the river year-round, spring offers a limited window of exciting rafting opportunities before we transition to the Deerfield River’s consistent hydroelectric releases.

Early-season trips deliver fast-paced, continuous whitewater ranging from Class II–IV, highlighted by signature rapids like The Funnel and Tsunami. As spring progresses, the river typically settles into a dynamic Class II–III run ideal for intermediate rafters. The Millers offers nearly nonstop action from start to finish, with long stretches of whitewater and only brief calm sections as the river winds past historic mill sites, making it one of the most action-packed trips around.

After the trip, guests return to Crab Apple to enjoy a hearty, cookout-style meal, with warm dishes and drinks on cooler days to cap off the pilgrimage.
